Abstract:Aiming at the influence of ultralow altitude penetration on detection performance of missileborne radar, a frequency stepping waveform with small step and high repetition frequency is proposed. Using the coupling characteristics of frequency stepping waveform in distance and velocity, reasonable waveform parameters are designed. The high speed moving target can be separated from the main lobe clutter, thus the signaltoclutter ratio of high resolution range profile is improved. The waveform parameters have low requirements on receiver bandwidth and signal processing capability, and it is simple and easy to operate. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the method.
