Abstract:The reconstruction for orbital velocity field (OVF) of wind-driven sea surfaceand ship wake is time consuming by using the least square quadratic (LSQ) method.especially for large-scale sea surface. A fast reconstruction method based on Fourier seriesand fast Fourier transform (FFT) is proposed, The computational complexities of the LSQmethod and the proposed method are analyzed theoretically, The accuracy and rapidity of theproposed method are verified through the reconstruction for OVF of wind-driven sea surfaceand ship wake.
