Abstract:A novel design method of grid microstrip monopulse antenna is introduced,and the simulation results of voltage standing waves ratio(VSWR) and radiation pattern aregiven respectively. The radiation element of the antenna is in the form of grid microstrip.The taper distribution of array surface is required by the different width of microstripradiation element, which overcomes the shortcomings of traditional wave guide slot antenna,such as design complexity and high accuracy. The implementation is relatively simple. Thesimulation results show that the relative bandwidth of the antenna is 2.8% (VSWR is notmore than 2),and the side lobe amplitude of the antenna is better than -20 dB.
